DIGITIAL LEGACIES, 2021.

Digital Legacies curated by Tiffany Ward and Diamon Fisher took place at the Black Woman’s Museum during the second iteration of Mare Residency. The exhibition Digital Legacies 2.0 followed Black women and non-binary artists working in the space between new media and textile art. Drawing on the etymology of digital - meaning of the hand. We looked at ways that Black women and non-binary artists are digitally building archives of our resistance, existence, and heritage. Digital Legacies includes pieces inspired by the traditional forms of quilting and fiber/craft pieces of our grandmothers in the work of Qualesha wood, Natasha Swift and asha jamila. The online exhibition also features new media works from biarritz and digital collages from Diamon Fisher and Amira Green. Digital illustrations from Jasmine Senaveratna.

SEAS AND SKY, 2023.

The seas and the sky curated by Tiffany Ward and Diamon Fisher is an experience that explores sound, intentional movement, textures, patterns and images in blue. Making interconnections between the color blue, Blackness ideas of spirit. The color blue is a representation of freedom, imagination and the dream-state. The title of the exhibition was inspired by the song “The Sky Is The Sea Of Darkness When There Is No Sun To Light The Way'' written by artist and philosopher Sun Ra in 1978.  The seas and the sky is an assembly of distinct artwork influenced by the Black experience through the color blue.
